Cheese and Garlic Steak

Cheese and Garlic Steak
You will be amazed at how simple this delicious hot dish is to make! The sauce is made with just three basic ingredients and tastes amazing.

This one is great way to easily make the classic meat and veg combo a bit more interesting (and yummy) for your toddler.

This recipe makes one toddler serving, but you can easily use more of everything to make a nutritious, tasty and no-fuss meal for the whole family.

Ingredients

  • 100g steak, cut into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup mixed green vegetables
  • 1 small clove garlic, chopped finely
  • 1/4 cup thickened cream
  • 1/4 cup cheese, grated

Method

Get your vegetables cooking in a steamer or pot of boiling water.

Meanwhile, heat a little butter or olive oil in a frying pan, and fry your steak pieces over med-high heat until nicely browned.

Add garlic to the steak and stir, cooking for a further few minutes.

Once vegetables are cooked, strain the water out (if you boiled them) and add to the frying pan with the steak and garlic.

Add cream and cook over medium heat, stirring, until sauce thickens.

Turn off heat and add cheese, mixing until it has melted through the sauce.

Set aside to cool for a few minutes and then serve.
