Banana Chia Cornflake Cookies
These healthy little cornflake cookies make a fantastic, healthy, soft snack for toddlers.

They are sweetened with banana and honey, loaded with nutritious chia seeds, and they're very easy to make!


  • 1 banana
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1/4 cup chia seeds
  • 1/3 cup cornflour
  • 1 cup cornflakes


Preheat oven to 200 C (390 F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.

Use a fork to mash banana in a large bowl.

Add egg and honey and whisk until combined with the banana.

Add chia seeds and mix.

Add cornflour and mix through.

Add cornflakes and mix until well combined.

Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto the prepared baking tray, evenly spaced.

Bake 8 - 10 minutes, until firm.

Let them cool for a few minutes before removing from the tray.


  • Bananas are a fantastic ingredient in toddler cooking, as they are a healthy way of sweetening any recipe without adding refined sugar. Mashed banana can also be used in place of butter or oil to keep cakes and muffins moist.
