Apple and Pear Fritters
These delicious apple and pear fritters are super fast to put together, great with breakfast, as a healthy kids snack or even dessert.

Sweet apple and pear slices are surrounded by perfectly golden pancake - yes please!


  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup SR flour
  • 1 apple
  • 1 pear


Whisk egg and milk together

Whisk in the flour until batter is smooth

Cut apple and pear into thin slices, remove the core

Heat a little olive oil or butter in a frying pan

Dip apple and pear slices into batter to coat

Fry each side until golden brown


  • Apples are high in fiber and keep you feeling fuller for longer without consuming a lot of calories. This is because it takes our bodies a while to digest the complex fiber in apples.

These are pretty tasty especially since I added a sprinkle of cinnamon to the batter. My only problem is the batter never actually stays on the Apple. Any suggestionm

Hello Darlene, yum cinnamon would work so well in this! If you found that your batter was a bit too runny, you could try adding more flour to the mixture. Another tip is to transfer each fritter straight to the pan right after coating them, if you coat them then leave them on a plate for a while the batter will have much more time to run off.
