Salami Bites

Salami Bites
These crunchy little bites are made using bread, salami, egg and cheese. They are super simple to make and taste delicious!

Ingredients

  • 3 slices wholegrain bread
  • 3 slices mild salami
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 1/4 cup grated cheese

Method

Preheat oven to 210 C (410 F) and brush a mini muffin tray with olive oil.

Use a rolling pin to roll bread flat.

Use a small cookie cutter to cut four circles from each slice of bread. (If you don't have a cookie cutter small enough, just use more bread slices)

Place bread circles in bottom of muffin tray cavities and gently press them down.

Cut salami into quarters.

Put one piece of salami onto each piece of bread.

Spoon a small layer of egg onto each one, try to cover the bread without spilling over the sides (the egg is more likely to stick to the pan while cooking)

Sprinkle grated cheese on top of each one.

Bake for about 12 - 14 minutes, until golden.

Makes 12.
