Applesauce Pancakes
These tasty applesauce pancakes are simple to put together and taste great. This recipe uses applesauce instead of egg, and you can easily make them dairy free as well. Recipe will make 3-4 small, toddler-sized pancakes.

You can use any applesauce you buy from the store, or you can use your own healthy homemade applesauce.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 cup self raising flour
  • 1-2 tbsp milk OR water
  • Butter or olive oil for frying

Method

Mix applesauce and flour together in a bowl until smooth.

Add a little bit of milk or water at a time until the batter is smooth and fluid, without being too runny.

Heat a bit of butter or olive oil in a frying pan, medium heat.

Add spoonfuls of batter to the pan using a large spoon. Space them evenly apart.

Cook until golden brown underneath and the top is just starting to set.

Flip pancakes with a spatula and allow other side to brown.

Once both sides are golden brown, remove from pan.

Allow to cool for a few minutes and serve.
