Apple Oat Stew
Try out this tasty, sweet variation of porridge for your toddler - it's easy to make and tastes amazing!

This one makes an incredible healthy toddler breakfast.


  • 1 apple
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon


Peel apple and remove core. Dice evenly into 1cm pieces. 

Put apple, oats, water and cinnamon into a pot and stir.

Cover pot and simmer for about 15 minutes (mix occasionally to keep it from sticking), or until apple is soft.

Mix well to mash apple and oats together.

Let cool for a few minutes as it will be very hot.


  • Oats are lower in carbohydrates and higher in protein and healthy fats than most other whole grains.
  • Apples are high in fiber and keep you feeling fuller for longer without consuming a lot of calories. This is because it takes our bodies a while to digest the complex fiber in apples.
